Becoming part of the solution

Years ago in 1968, American civil rights activist and militant Eldridge Cleaver said 'If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem'. In that spirit, I hope that American citizens will step up to the plate and positively respond to our new President's call to service. Thinking about that and what we can do, I realized that we all have ideas on how to make our government more efficient and effective. So I'm starting a forum to discuss practical cost cutting suggestions we can offer. For example, this may be controversial, but one way to cut Medicare costs would be to make Part D and the costs of drug coverage available only to those with lower incomes.

BTW, ideally, when you make suggestions, it would be helpful to put those in categories if you can, ie the above suggestion could be under 'Medicare'.
